Butterfly Magic includes a series of tiles which have been digitally enhanced to use as wallpaper upon the Internet. When used as wallpaper in the BODY of a page, Butterfly Magic designs provide a beautiful background mosaic to illuminate the Internet.
To use Butterfly Magic tiles as wallpaper/background art, you need to upload the specific tile to your home page. Then you need to edit your HTML code and specify the name of the graphics file and its location using the BODY command. For example, to use luna_moths_skyblue.jpg as a background you would specify <BODY BACKGROUND="luna_moth_skyblue.jpg">. Depending upon the URL or site location of your home page, this would change. To include the PATH to your site use <BODY BACKGROUND="http://PATH/filename.ext"> where you would replace PATH with the URL or location of your site and filename.ext with the name of the Butterfly Magic graphics file that you select.
Butterfly Magic tiles have a format size of 341 pixels by 341 pixels. This was chosen as a file size as it is 1/3 of 1024 x 1024, a size that the artist uses for much of his work. You may change the size of tiles using any graphics art or photo editing program which has feature which enables you to set the size of files. When used as background tiles, these will appear to fill the background of you screen, resulting in a nice mosaic. Depending upon the size of your screen or other specifications of your page design, you may have more or less tiles appearing in the background. In any case, a great deal of variety is possible to produce highly attractive pages using Butterfly Magic.
The files released with Butterfly Magic may change over time. If you use Butterfly Magic tiles to enhance your web site, please give credit to the artist by stating, "Credits: Butterfly Magic background graphics by TerryLynch@aol.com."
