A Grassroots Effort

The World Peace Project (WPP) is a grassroots effort. Our goal is to promote world peace and love the whole world over.
Currently the United States and its allies are engaged in a War on Terrorism. Some say this is a just war, given the events of 9/11 and the acts of terrorism in the Mid-east and around the world. But the way to end the War on Terrorism is to make peace, not war, is to make love, not hate.
Toward this end the World Peace Project will endeavor to promote peace and love the whole world over. You are asked to join in the effort.

Many people say there will never be peace on Earth and that they have no power to change the world. But this is not true. You can pray for peace. If everyone prays for peace then there will be peace for there can be no war when all are praying for peace.
Please support the Pray for Peace Movement by purchase of Pray of Peace items. These items will help support this site and the Pray for Peace Movement. The Peace Prayer is offered to be used by non-profit groups and organizations that one day thousands, indeed millions of people, may gather together to pray for peace!

The Peace Prayer

Let us pray for peace
For peace the whole world over
For peace for all people
Of all nations, states, lands
That through peace all humanity
May be united in a spirit of love
The consequence of which shall be
No poverty, no starvation, no famine
That neighbor shall give neighbor
A helping hand, a lift up
That all over this wonderful planet
Which is our Mother Earth
Humanity may rejoice.

Let us pray for peace
For peace is what will set us free
To be all that we might be
For peace through love is our salvation
The key to bringing out the best
Which each person, each soul has to offer
That through peace all people may progress
Regardless of race, religion or national origin
Regardless of sex or life style
Each and everyone as a shining star
That love shall embrace all
A radiant affection glowing brightly in every heart
Heaven on Earth in each and every living soul.

In the Valley of Hell

An Anti-war Poem
In the Valley of Hell soldiers are dying
They say the war is for a just cause
There have been those who have said this
Since the first war was ever fought.

In the Valley of Hell babies are crying
Their Moms and Dads have gone to war
many will never see them again
Dead, buried for a just cause.

In the Valley of Hell preachers are praying
Buzzards circle above as bodies rot
Ten hundred thousand, thousand
All have died for a very just cause.

In the Valley of Hell fires are burning
The stench is carried by the wind
All around the world you can smell death
All who died, died for a just cause.

In the Valley of Hell bombs burst
There is another battle raging
For the soul of humanity
It is all for a very, very just cause.

In the Valley of Hell there is silence now
Not even the chirp of a lone cricket
The birds have flown away too
All that remains to be buried is a just cause.
