Keep in mind that Victory Now is a real war game. The purpose of Victory Now is to train real masters in the usage of firearms, to produce a new generation of expert marksmen and snipers. This is war, it is NOT a game, though game playing and strategy are used in the learning and training process.

In order to play Victory Now you also need a firearm. You may use pellet guns or paint ball guns in areas where real firearms may not be fired. Taliban Target in their various designs, forms and slogans are created to use with real firearms on a firing range or in combat training courses. Adult supervision is advised for children playing any form of Victory Now. Usage of live ammo risks death or injury and should only be employed with great care in courses design with safety in mind, such that proper backdrops are used and all provisions are made for safe firing as would be done upon any military, law enforcement or other firing range.

Instruction in safe usage and operation of firearms is advises BEFORE engaging in any combat practice, war games or training exercises described herein.

When using Victory Now targets or courses, the line along which a shooter moves should be regarded and established as the point of fire with all targets being positioned away from the point of fire and no humans being permitted down range and/or in the line of fire. The only exception is when playing paint ball type games where teams are properly equipped to avoid injury when hit by high velocity paint balls.

There are various types of Victory Now training courses or combat games. Each Victory Now game involves setting out targets and moving from point "A" to point "B" along a line and shooting targets down range. The targets are then scored and the time to complete the course determined. Taliban Targets have concentric circles. Each circle represents points with the bull's eye being 10 points and each outward circle representing 8, 6, 4, 2 points. If the target is missed zero points are counted. To score a person you take the total time to complete the course in seconds and subtract points from each target. The winner of the game is the one with the lowest score; i.e., the person who completes the course the fastest and scores the most bull's eyes.

There are several type of courses which may be used:

• Straight Line: This course uses a relative straight line from point "A" to point "B" with targets places down range at angles to the line. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired.

• Zigzag: The zigzag course uses a zigzag line from point "A" to point "B" with targets placed down range at angles to the line. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired.

• Circular course. The circular course uses a line that progresses in rough circles from the starting point "A" to the finish line point "B" which is the same as the starting point, with targets set down range and directed AWAY from the center of the circle. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired. The center of the circle is established as a safety point with no fire being permitted toward the center of the circle. This allows one person with a stop watch to stand in the safety zone at the center of the circle and easily record the time to complete the course. Care needs to be taken when setting up a circular course that all targets down range are set in safe areas. Generally it is difficult to to have a firing range that is circular but these can be constructed or set up in basins or in specially constructed areas such that the central area is constructed so as to enable security.

• Maze: A maze consists of a line which progresses through a maze from point "A" to point "B" such that one must move through a series of walls, barricades, fences, barrels, bails of hay or other structures which may simulate an urban environment. Targets are set down range along the course. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired.

• U-shaped or Horse shoe course: This course is a line from point "A" to point "B" which basically forms a U-shape with targets down range at angle to the course.. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired. In a U-shaped course the top or open end of the U is the safety zone.

• Change in elevation course: This is a course which has terrain that changes in elevation from point "A" to point "B" with targets at angle to the course. Obstacles may be placed down range along the course as desired.

• Expert marksman or combat training course: This course progresses from point "A" to point "B" and may consist of any combination of the above courses with targets set down range along the course. Obstacles may be placed along the course as desired. Generally an expert marksman or combat training course is configured to be very complex and challenging and may use pop-up friendly or enemy targets or may even involve usage of real enemy combatants and/or teams which compete one against that other using nonlethal ammo such as paint balls or laser rifles and hit/kill sounding or recording devices.

Victory Now may be played by any number of people such that you run the course, fire at targets down range, tabulate scores and determine a winner based upon the lowest score. This is suitable for commercial adventures. A merchant may establish a business which uses Victory Now Taliban Targets and courses, charging admission to play the game. Profits come through selling targets, ammo, guns, t-shirt or other gifts and apparel which relate to the game and training exercise. Because Victory Now is a game of skill which is very challenging, it is an engaging and fun sport.
