Midnight vandalims and juvenile delinquency: Is there a saving grace?

Vandalism is a crime even when it is just the trashing of a yard with toilet paper. The author suggests that juveniles who engage in such midnight acts of vandalism should be brought to justice, made to clean up the mess they make, and do community service that they will learn to respect private and public property. Without being brought to justice he suggest that vandalism and lack of parental supervision may lead to more serious crimes. Yet when this good neighbor published a letter to this effect in a local newspaper, the victim responded bashing him instead of the vandals. Is vandalism by teenagers a crime to which parents should turn a blind eye? Or is vandalism a sign of rebellious youth snubbing their nose at authority figures perhaps leading to other forms of juvenile delinquency and worse crime? Is there any saving grace for a good neighbor who speaks out against the crime of vandalism as a possible precursor to worst crimes if nothing is done about it? Or should society just let its youth run wild? Click on pic to read this article. Photo © 2011 by Terry Lynch.

Caylee's Law Poem and Petition

Click on pic to support our cause!

I would like to urge everyone to read the poem/song "Caylee's Law" and sign the petition to adopt Caylee's Law which is posted on the Internet at www.cayleeslaw.byteland.org and on change.org. This is a critical issue and everyone's support is encouraged!

This law would make it a felony to not notify law enforcement authorities promptly in the case that a child dies or goes missing. If properly drafted the law could also include dependents who have mental or physical disabilities and/or incapacitated persons, like the elderly who have Alzheimer's disease or dementia.

Over 1-million people have signed the Caylee's Law petition in the five days since a Florida jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of murdering her 2-year old daughter, Caylee. Also representatives in at least eighteen states have promised to draft legislation being referred to as Caylee's Law, which would tighten requirements on missing persons reports.

Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder charges in an Orange County, Fla., courtroom on Tuesday, July 5. She was accused of murdering Caylee.

Caylee was missing for a month before grandmother, Cindy Anthony, reported her disappearance to police in a 911 call. Casey Anthony then claimed that a nanny abducted Caylee. She stuck to that story for three years until her lawyer said at her murder trial that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family pool. Yet it was impossible to prove cause of death given young Caylee's body was treated like garbage and improperly disposed of in a plastic bag that was thrown into a road-side swamp.

Casey got off easy with a convicted of only four misdemeanor counts of lying to law enforcement officers; although given the maximum sentence, she is scheduled to be released from jail this week, given time already served.

The Caylee's Law petition was started by Michelle Crowder of Durant, Oklahoma, after seeing a proposal made on Facebook. The petition went viral after being reported on ABC news.

I am working to help get support for Caylee's Law and want to urge everyone to contact their representatives that Mississippi will also adopt Caylee's Law. In this effort I have also created a Blind Justice design urging Caylee's Law to be passed in all 50 states!

Initially I wanted to use the adorable picture of Caylee with her big brown eyes, that has been widely circulated, but the "Powers That Be" would not permit this; hence, I used Blind Justice holding a sword and scales, plus a poem/song I wrote entitled "Caylee's Law." I'm hoping that this may help raise awareness and support for this vital issue, that in the future no child or incapacitated person will go with out justice when they are abused, exploited or killed by their parents or guardians.

Terry Lynch discusses factors which contribute to quality web site design and production. Lynch emphasizes that, "Web Masters are not God! They cannot preform miracles or turn water into wine. But a good Web Master can create a web site which reflects the Unique Selling Proposition of your product or service. And that can make all the difference in the world for the success or failure of your business!"

God works in mysterious ways

Editorial by Terry Lynch talks about how God works in mysterious ways. Lynch also created an adorable design to illustrate this most popular Biblical theme.

While listening to political candidates speak, I sensed their love and soulful caring for their community, state and nation, which caused me to have a sudden realization! Harnest our greatest national resource, the American people, those who want to do public service work, and create a National Public Service Works Program on a grand scale, to end unemployment, to vanquish poverty, provide higher educational opportunity, repair our infrastructure, repay our national debt, and provide health care and housing for all American citizens!

Killer storms rage across Mississippi and Alabama

This photo was taken during a live broadcast on ABC's Channel 11 during the thunderstorms which raged through Mississippi on April 27, 2011. (See below) PHOTO © 2011 by Terry Lynch.

Killer storms ripped their way across Mississippi on Wednesday afternoon killing at least 15 people. The storms spawned tornadoes which injured many others, destroying homes and property, before moving east into Alabama where more than 40 people were killed (as of 11:00 PM April 27, 2011). These screen captures were made of Stephen Bowers reporting live on the train of monsterous thunderstorms from WTOK Newscenter 11 in Meridian, MS. Stephen's and Jessica Dealy's warning of the approaching deadly tornadoes helped alert many people of the approaching danger so they could take shelter.

I wish to compliment Steve, Jessica and the other members of Newscenter 11 for their outstanding job reporting on these deadly storms. Sometimes this is the only warning people in rural communities have of killer storms like those which ravaged the region on Wednesday. Thank you for your good work! I'm sure it helped save lives and prevent injuries as without such live broadcasts many more people would have suffered or lost their lives. For updates on area weather visit the Newscenter 11 team on facebook.

This is the second series of very strong thunderstorms to rage through Mississippi in April of 2011. Thunderstorms also spawned tornadoes on April 15th as they struck many of the same areas hit on April 27th.

Jessica's Finest Moment. Jessica Dealy and the WTOK Weather Team did an outstanding job reporting on the series of tornadoes which struck Mississippi and Alabama on April 15, 2011. Jessica's presentation was so exciting and impressive that I took this photograph of her pointing to the tornado which struck Meridian. Photo (c) 2011 by Terry Lynch, Quitman, MS.

Dumping mutilated rotting deer in backyard is not illegal in Quitman, MS

Click on pic to read full story
Apparently there is nothing illegal about bringing home mutilated deer and dumping them in your backyard in Quitman, Mississippi, to lay out exposed to rot and decay. Recently two mutilated deer appeared in a neighbor's backyard under a shed. One of the deer was skinned and the other looked like it had its neck chewed upon by wild animals. There were exposed bones, flesh, and body parts, not to mention the smell of death and pestilence this would bring within days were no action taken to remove the carcasses. Police were called to the scene to investigate.
