SUBJECT: Celebrate Victory! No Censure!

Open Letter To US Senators

The fact that President Clinton's impeachment trial is over is cause enough for celebration. Everyone from the President on down to John Q. Public must feel relief and be happy this trial is over. It is only natural all Americans should toot their horns, cry cheers of joy and pop the champagne bottles!

Regardless of your position on the impeachment trial and the issue of President Clinton's conduct, the result is proof of one thing: the US Constitution as instituted by our Founding Fathers works! That is a victory for all Americans and we should celebrate that our nation has come through this trial strong!

We have enemies enough beyond our borders: Islamic fundamentalists who cry, "America is the great Satan;" war monger governments around the world who hate everything remotely America; not to mention freelance international terrorists who want to blow up our embassies, take our businessmen hostage and destroy our intrastructure. Now that the impeachment trial is over, we should put aside party politics and get down to the business of securing America's future.

This means not only dealing with military conflicts around the world, but in securing economic stability at home and abroad. For all Americas to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we need to unite and work together to bring the American dream to all people, not just to the rich, but to the middle class and the poor.

A celebration by all Americans along with the resolve to set aside party politics and put America first would do much to heal our nation. This means no censure of President Clinton, but forgiving him for his sins and moving on with the work so vital to our nation's future. There simply is no room in America for endless partisan investigations, personal invasion of privacy and over-zealous sex scandals, especially when the target of such attacks is the President of the United States; the ultimate victim being the American people!
