Letter to the Editor
SUBJECT: Challenge Congress To Take Oath Before sitting in judgment of President Clinton with respect to infidelity and perjury, members of Congress should be required to take the following oath: I solemnly swear before my God and my country, upon penalty of perjury and removal from office, that while serving in public office I have never had an extramarital relationship or participated in any form or sex, including oral sex, phone sex or masturbation with an intern, staff member or other government employee, nor have I ever lied to my wife, children or country regarding my fidelity or other personal matters. There is probably not a single members of Congress who would sign such an oath. If there is they are probably liers and should not sit in judgment of the President. I challenge all members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate to take this Oath of Fidelity and Honesty. If an honest man can not be found to be in majority, then Congress should not consider impeachment of the president. On the other hand if the majority of Congress can take this oath without committing perjury, then it will be a true miracle! I would also urge the President of the United States and all members of the U.S. Congress who can not take this oath to renew their wedding vows. A public wedding of the President and Hillary where they would renew their vows of fidelity would do much to restore faith in our President. In fact, members of Congress who can not take the Oath of Fidelity and Honesty should also consider renewing their wedding vows. Then our nation's leaders could all get out of whatever extramarital affairs they have been involved with and get back to the business of running the country.
