Letter to the Editor
SUBJECT: President and Hillary Should Renew Marriage Vows Republicans who want to crucify the President for his infidelity should first look between their legs and ask the question, "Where would you like to go today?" I do not believe the majority of Congress would be able to answer that question without any thoughts of infidelity. In fact some might be wishing they were in the closet with an intern or someone other than their spouse. Although two rights do not justify a wrong, and a married man should keep St. Peter in his pants, no member of Congress who has ever broken their marriage vows and lied about it should sit in judgment of the President of the United States. Before anyone considers impeachment members of Congress should be required to sign an Oath of Fidelity and Honesty which reads as follows: I solemnly swear before my God and my country, upon penalty of perjury and removal from office, that while serving in public office I have never had an extramarital relationship or participated in any form or sex, including oral sex, phone sex or masturbation with an intern, staff member or other government employee, nor have I ever lied to my wife, children or country regarding my fidelity or other personal matters. I suggest that all members of Congress who can not take this oath renew their wedding vows. I suggest that the President and Hillary do the same. I am sending copy of this oath to President Clinton and hope that he and Hillary will renew their marriage vows. In fact I urge the President to celebrate the renewal of his marriage vows in a public wedding ceremony, to invite all the members of Congress, religious leaders and the public to witness their second wedding via media broadcast to the nation. This would forever put an end to the silly little sex scandal which has rocked our nation. Sincerely, Terry Lynch Montgomery, AL Copyright Notice
