SUBJECT: Republicans Should Not Play Delilah Are republicans trying to politically castrate President Clinton? When as a child I heard the story of Samson and Delilah I wondered how a hair cut could take away a man's strength. I now suspect it was more than just hair Delilah cut off. Perhaps Delilah did a Lorena Bobbitt on Samson, cutting off more than just his hair. Castration is the only thing which would explain Samson's loss of power. Why do I make such a preposterous postulation? Such a Biblical interpretation is relevant to the White House sex scandal. Regardless of what Delilah cut off, republicans are trying to cut off the President's penis using Kenneth Starr's grand jury as a clever to investigate the President's personal sex life. Cutting off a man's hair, chopping off his penis or making moral prohibitions related to sex between consenting adults takes power away from individuals. Republicans want to take away President Clinton's power so they are attacking his sex life. They are, unwittedly, doing exactly what terrorists and enemies of America would like, politically castrating the President. Make no doubt about it, impeachment based upon sex scandal is a form of political castration. It helps our enemies, especially radical, Islamic fundamentalist who would like to bomb and destroy everything which flies an American flag. But we need a President with balls to fight terrorism! Therefore I think republicans should stop trying to castrate the President. If anyone wants to discipline President Clinton for his indiscretions, it should be Hillary with the clever who plays Delilah, not congress! You can bet that Hillary knows this well and will be keeping her husband on a short leash from now on. With Hillary around to discipline her husband, republicans should forget about the Monica Lewinski sex scandal and white lie impeachment. As the saying goes, "Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn." Surely it will be a long, long time before Hillary really forgives her husband, takes the cutlery out of the bedroom or unlocks her chastity belt. In the mean time Clinton will be sleeping on the Oval Office couch! I suggest to republicans that is impeachment enough! Sincerely, Terry Lynch Montgomery, AL Copyright Notice
