SUBJECT: Sex Scandal Not Major Headline News! Since when did a sex scandal merit major headline news status in anything but the tabloid press? Judging form the shark eatting frenze over President Clinton's Grand Jury testimony, the print and broadcast media have shown their true colors. Sex is all that a male dominated media and Puritanical brain dead public cares about! Sex sells so regardless of how many more important issues there are, the big story is the White House sex scandal. An alleged semen stain upon Monica Lewinski's blue dress is more important than terrorist bombs in Ireland and East Africa. Oval office oral sex takes precedence over earthquakes, tidal waves and flash floods killing scores, even hundreds of people! What is wrong here is not the fact that the media is covering the White House sex scandal, but the fact that there is a scandal at all. Who cares what the President does behind closed doors with a consenting adult? After all, most mature adults have sex indoors. What would be scandalous would be a video of President Clinton naked as a jay having intercourse with not one, but several interns on the White House lawn! Let's get our priorites straight. Important issues are such things as terrorist bombings, nuclear proliferations, environmental pollution, natural disasters and the world's econominc condition. Sex scandal, even involving the President of the United States, is NOT a significant event. A significant event is the blowing up of a Titan rocket with the loss of a billion dollar military spy satellite! This is a mystery which impacts seriously upon national security and should be of major concern to all Americans! I'd much rather know why our Titan rocket exploded and how to prevent a recurrence of that trajedy than what the stain is on Monica Lewinski's dress!
