Letter to the Editor
SUBJECT: Saddam Hussein & Islamic Radicals Responsible For Bombing OPEN LETTER TO: President Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright Please inform Secretary of State Madeleine Albright that I know who is ultimately responsible for bombing our embassies in east Africa. Also please tell the Department of State that the only $2-million reward America should give for locating those responsible for these bombings is a smart bomb up their ass! By using a little deductive reasoning and analytical thought to profile the bombers, I can tell you right now who the bombers were. Those responsible for bombing our embassies were professional terrorists. They knew how to design and build sophisticated car bombs which indicates that they had a high degree of military training. They had access to all the materials necessary for making a car bomb in duplicate and in fact may have made more than two such bombs to hold one in reserve. That the embassy bombers were professional and state sponsored is also indicated by the coordinated timing of the two attacks, something which has never occurred before in embassy bombings. Also the timing of the explosions is of extreme significance as you should realize it coincided with Saddam Hussein's refusal to comply with future U.N. weapons inspections and therefore points directly at Saddam Hussein. Moreover the one responsible for these bombings had the motive of a radical Islamic fundamentalist and selected sites not as likely to injure other allied Muslims, as say bombing embassies in north Africa or the mideast would do. These professional terrorists were sponsored by nations, groups and assoications which offer them support and refuge. Their purpose is to wage a holy war against America and disrupt business as usual by bombing our embassies. They want no more then to destroy the foundations of freedom and democracy around the world by striking at our embassies. We should not reward members of such groups or nations $2-million in cash for pointing a finger at fellow terrorists. Rather we should use our intelligence agencies, allies, remote sensing satellites and citizen insight to identify and locate the terrorists, their hideouts, camps and training centers, and then blow them off the face of the earth! If we pay a reward to one group or terrorist, their families, relations or associates, for turning in other terrorists we do nothing but breed terrorism. If you want to give that $2-million to anyone, give it to me, an American citizen, for pointing you in the right direction! Saddam Hussein and the underground network of terrorists his regime sponsors, supports and inspires are the persons ultimately responsible for our embassy bombing. Take them out with a smart bomb and it will be a long time before you see another embassy bombing! Sincerely, Terry Lynch Montgomery, AL ADDENDUM: This letter was sent to the President of the United States on Aug. 11, 1998. On Aug. 20th U.S. bombed terrorist camps of Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan and a chemical weapons factory in Khartoum, Sudan.
