SUBJECT: The Army Of God A Misnomer

The call themselves "Army of God." Now I don't know if they are
really an army or some damn lunatic jerking the FBI off their
tail. But one thing is for certain, given their fancy for black
powder, gay bars and abortion clinics, I don't want to end up on
their hit list. So let me start by saying I'm not gay and I
believe everyone should make babies and have fun doing it too!

Whoever the "Army of God" is they sure have a funny way of
worshiping. Silent prayer has been replaced with things that go
bang in the night. If they are of God it is not the "love thy
neighbor, turn the other cheek" God of which Jesus Christ spoke
but the "hell fire and brimstone" God of the Old Testament.

What I can't understand is why anyone would appoint themselves to
be God? Do they think that they are doing God's work? What kind
of God would want to blow away people, any people, especially
anonymous victims at a sporting event like the Olympics?

If the Army of God does exist it is not appropriately named. A
better name would be The Devil's Advocates or Satin's Helpers.
Just as blowing up the Federal Building in Oklahoma City or the
World Trade Center in New York City, the bombings which the Army
of God takes credit for, are not acts of devotion, but acts of
terrorism.

Given the so called "Army of God" is probably not an army at all,
and certainly not doing God's work, why should we be concerned
about a name?

It was Shakespeare in Romeo and Juliet who wrote "Is a
rose by any other name is still a rose?" I ask, "Is a terrorist
by any other name still a terrorist?" Anyone who claims
allegiance with God and kills people indiscriminately is an enemy
of all people. A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist by any
name they chose. But the worst terrorists are those which claim
allegiance with God. No one should sympathize with or give aid
to such villainous scum of the earth, for by claiming allegiance
with the divine, they commit their ultimate crime, destroying
what God really is: the miracle of life and the power to love.

Sincerely, Terry Lynch
