The only reason for not funding Viagra is if our politicians fear they will lose votes. Aged conservative politicians are afraid of Viagra's effects come election day. Plus they are afraid of Viagra's effects upon party politics and politicians themselves. Who knows what would happen if President Clinton should take Viagra? The rise and fall of the White House standard of ethics would make the Monica Lowinsky-Paula Jones affairs limp by comparison. Of course I doubt even Viagra could help restore the vitality of over-the-hill politicians in Alabama. God forbid Gov. Fob James or Mayor Emory Folmar should ever take Viagra! They can't seem to raise anything unless it is tax exempt dollars at over priced, mega buck per plate fund raising dinners. From recent reports I certainly know that the only thing which seems to excites ex-felon, ex-governor Guy Hunt is money, money, and more money. Viagra might make Hunt's desire for tax exempt funds go limp! Of course if our politicians decide not to permit Medicaid funding for Viagra we must ask why? Could it be they see a relationship between how people vote and their impotence? Republicans promote themselves as morally fit for leadership and apparently think the only fun people should be having is pulling the voting booth lever. If Viagra restores potency to older voters, Republicans will likely lose votes in favor of those older Americans wanting to emulate President Clinton. You may laugh, but Republicans, and aged politicians in general, hold the purse strings in Alabama. They don't want to pay for anything which might cost them votes. Viagra is a double-wammie because not only does it give older voters something else to play with besides political polls and voting booth levers, but it enables them to feel young again. One thing older, establishment oriented politicians don't want is for voters to feel young! God forbid that anyone over 55 should feel young and want to vote for the likes of Clinton or Gore! Viagra users aren't going to vote for anyone unless they raise their standards and endorse Medicaid payments for their drug of choice. Hence you won't find Alabama conservative or politically limp elitist politicians putting Viagra in anyone's medicine cabinet. It would spell doom to politicians over 55! And that would mean a Democratic victory come election day! Sincerely, TerryLynch@aol.com Montgomery
