Call of the Wild: An Animal Planet Original Dramatic Series From their page, " Few novels can claim the instant recognition of Jack London’s Call of the Wild. This thrilling tale of a courageous dog yearning for freedom captures, as no other story can, the shadowy line dogs walk between the world of man and a world of unchecked ferocity. It is a story made for Animal Planet. Adapted by White Fang screenwriter David Fallon, Call of the Wild expands the original narrative to include Miles, a 15-year-old boy living in an Alaskan mining town at the turn of the century. There, he encounters a huge and powerful dog named Buck, and their adventure begins. Set against the harsh beauty of the Klondike wilderness and featuring some of its most colorful creatures, this action-packed, family entertainment series maintains the literary integrity of London’s novel."

Index of famous dogs As the title suggests, this is an Index of Famous Dogs throughout history, both in reality and in fiction. Don't miss the Famous People's Dogs site.

Rin Tin Tin Filmography From their page, "Rin Tin Tin made his debut in The Man From Hell's River (Western Pictures Exploitation Company, 1922), where he was mentioned in Variety as "Rin Tan". Warner Bros. snapped up the charismatic canine in 1923. Rinty, as he was affectionately called, earned $1000 a week, insured for $100,000, had his own production unit, had his own limo and chauffeur, had his own orchestra for mood music, had a diamond studded collar and chateaubriand steak prepared with all the trimmings by his personal chef at meal time. But Rinty was worth it."
