The IRAQ Study Group Report has been released. The original first edition cover shown here, was not used as it was deemed a bit too strong to be swallowed by the public at large. However, this cover design is being made available by a group of Democrats for everyone to enjoy.

The above graphic features a bowl of spaghetti. The premise that Bush's Iraq War policy is like a bowl of spaghetti is put forward. Everyone is invited to read and promote The IRAQ Study Group Report First Edition design and join the debate.
President's Bush's Iraq War Policy is like a bowl of spaghetti; it is a mess; it is scrambled! To illustrate this point a series of "Spaghetti Art" designs have been created. These design are meant to spark debate and criticism and make people start asking the question, "What is going wrong with America's policy in Iraq?"
Is it the brains of the politicians that are scrambled? Is it those who advocate said policy who are messed up in their thinking? Or is something else scrambling the spaghetti? As you know, spaghetti is NOT normally scrambled? So why is President's Bush Iraq War policy scrambled? Who is making a mess of it?
Certainly it is a stroke of genius to represent President Bush's Iraq War policy as a bowl of spaghetti. Of course at the time I created this design I was just making dinner. I cooked up a batch of spaghetti and decided to take some photographs before eating my dinner. Initially my intent was to use these photographs to create "Pure Spaghetti Art," not a political statement or protest. But after creating about a dozen designs I happened to read an AP report about the pending release of a review on President Bush's Iraq War policy by a special Iraq War study group. Also in the news were reports regarding the resignation of Sec. of Defense, Donald H. Rumsfeld and Congressional hearings for Robert Gates to be the new Sec. of Defense, who stated that we were not winning the war in Iraq.
It then occurred to me that what was going on in Iraq with the war policy was like a bowl of spaghetti, a mess! It was a scrambled mess! But spaghetti is not scrambled, it is cooked by boiling pasta and making a sauce, then mixing the two. Yet President's Bush's Iraq War policy was clearly scrambled. So using a bowl of spaghetti to represent this scrambled war policy would be appropriate. This would spark debate as everyone knows spaghetti is not scrambled; hence, the design would be an appropriate depiction of President Bush's Iraq War policy, a great graphical representation certain to spark criticism and debate, the exact ingredients needed by any design to generate attention, awareness and profits that could, in turn, be used to educate and inform people and promote peace.
Indeed, a bowl of spaghetti is not scrambled. As tasteful as is a bowl of spaghetti, it is not cooked by scrambling as are, say eggs. Yet the mess which is President Bush's Iraq War policy certainly has been scrambled.
The genius thus in making this graphical analogy using a bowl of spaghetti is that critics will attack the analogy rather than the policy, thus identifying the fact that they favor Bush's Iraq War policy. They might even attack me as a graphic artist and designer and try to assassinate my character or qualifications -- a form of intimidation often used by bullies to beat up and batter anyone they wish to control, dominate or destroy. Plus they might attach the fact I profit from my work, ignoring the fact billions upon billions of dollars are spent by the Pentagon on the war in Iraq -- and that all media profits from reporting upon the war. Art which sparks controversy is indeed, good Art, perhaps great Art! So such criticism is welcome! Bring it on folks! Tell everyone you know how much you love or hate the Iraq War Spaghetti Art design.
Of course, there are many reasons people favor the Iraq War policy, one being that the war is very profitable, especially for those companies which have contracts with the Pentagon. This also includes everyone who is employed by the military, given war is their business. Thus any design which attacks or protests Bush's scrambled Iraq War policy is likely to come under fire of those who are profiting one way or another from the President's scrambled Iraq war policy.
Of course it is the terrorist who have made a big mess of Bush's Iraq War policy. It is the terrorist who have scrambled up the ordered society that America has endeavored to create in Iraq. Who is behind the terrorist who have scrambled the spaghetti? Obviously this is the Islamic fundamentalist. The spaghetti scramblers are Iraq, Syria and other terrorist sponsoring nations.
Thus the Iraq War spaghetti analogy fits perfectly. Spaghetti is not scrambled. The democracy which America has endeavored to build in Iraq is not scrambled. But it has been scrambled by those Islamic Fundamentalist who are radically opposed to establishing a democracy in Iraq.
It is therefore a stroke of genius to describe President's Bush's Iraq War policy as like a bowl of spaghetti that has been made into a scrambled mess. Those who support the administration may look at this design analogy critically, saying spaghetti is not scrambled or that proceeds from the design benefit the artist. Thus the design serves to spark debate and does exactly what it is intended to do, which is make people question President Bush's Iraq War policy and how and why is it like a bowl of spaghetti, that has become a scrambled mess!
With this in mind I urge all broadcasters, announcers, editors and everyone associated with the media to help promote this design which says President Bush's Iraq War policy is like a bowl of spaghetti that has been made a scrambled mess by Islamic fundamentalist terrorists! We cannot win the war in Iraq unless we attack the fundamental principles which act to destroy America's policy, which is Islamic fundamentalism, itself. Until we focus upon the source of the problem which is ideological in nature, we cannot win the war in Iraq or anywhere else Islamic fundamentalism takes root!
Thus the Iraq War Spaghetti Policy design is a perfectly accurate and correct analogy and form of symbolism to use to make people aware of what is going on in Iraq. America cannot win the war in Iraq until we target the ideology behind terrorism, which is Islamic fundamentalism. This does NOT mean attacking the Moslem religion; it means attacking how that religion is perverted by those who use religion to promote violence, terrorism, genocide and other forms of destructive behavior in the name of God and Allah!
Indeed President's Bush's Iraq war policy is like a bowl of spaghetti. It is a mess! It is scrambled! It has been made a mess and scrambled by Islamic fundamentalist terrorists and Bush has failed because he has not focused upon destroying the ideology behind the terrorist.
You can send armies and work to create democracy, but so long as there are breeding grounds promoting the ideology that America is the great Satan, that you will get to heaven by blowing yourself up in the name of Allah and taking as many infidels with you as possible, there will be terrorism. To bring victory to Iraq we must outlaw and destroy those doctrines which promote terrorism, which in this case is Islamic fundamentalism.
We as Americans do not like the idea of outlawing any form of religion, for religious freedom is a fundamental right written into law by the Bill of Rights. Yet nations and people ruled by Islamic fundamentalism operate in exactly the opposite fashion and regard converting from their faith to Christianity as insanity! You can be killed for rejecting such a religion when it is adopted by the state. It is this ideology that the United States must recognize and destroy if it is to win the war on terrorism.
Indeed, President Bush's Iraq War policy is like a bowl of spaghetti! It is a big mess! It has been scrambled! Spaghetti is usually a wonderful, nutritious pasta dish of tomato sauce, vegetables, meat, spices and cheese. But it has been corrupted by Islamic fundamentalists who corrupt all that they touch! Thus I have endeavored to make everyone aware of this perversion with the Iraq War Spaghetti Policy design. Eat it up America! Enjoy!
The following ads were placed upon Craig's List to promote the Spaghetti Iraq War Policy on Dec. 5, 2006, the day before a Congressional Committee was set to release its opinion on the Iraq War policy. Hence this design trumped said release.
