Dear Friends,
While working in the garden I took a photograph of some most aromatic mint plants which was turned into an "I Love Mint" design that is now available on gifts and apparel. Check it out at http://www.cafepress.com/bytelandart/6718719 or just click on the pic below to buy your "I Love Mint" gifts and apparel today.

I was wondering if you love mint in your hot or ice tea as much as I do? The "I Love Mint" design is also available on calendars, framed tiles, framed prints and even upon T-shirts and other gifts and apparel to decorate your kitchen and home. It would be great for gardeners, nature lovers, or anyone who loves mint.

I'm sure everyone has heard the expressions, "Money doesn't grow on trees," or "I wish I had a money tree." Well, actually money does grow on tree in the sense that you can grow profits from plants, vegetables, flowers and other flora and fauna. This is what farmers do when they grow and market their crops. As an artist/designer I've been experimenting with ways to actually grow Art. The idea is to take photographs of the plants, flowers and insects in my garden or found around my home and make them into Unique Artistic Creations (UAC) on gifts and apparel which are then marketed via CafePress or other print-on-demand services like PrintFection.
An example of a Unique Artistic Creation, which is anologous to the fruit one gets from their vegetable garden, or leaves from a money tree, is the "I Love Mint" design. Some years ago I planted mint in my garden and it has since proliforated, spreading widely, sending out runners, sprouting anew each year, to provide me with fresh mint for hot and ice tea, which I relish. Recently I took some photographs of the mint growing in the garden and made them into gifts and apparel to market via CafePress. But I didn't stop there. I sent an email to everyone in my electronic address book notifying them about the "I Love Mint" design, that they might purchase these gifts and apparel if they are also a mint lover.
Other great ways to market such home grown Unique Artistic Expressions are to place a listing on Craigslist, eBay, Amazon.com or display your gift and apparel designs in a blog. I also make short videos about my Unique Artistic Creations and post them on YouTube. In this way there is the opportunity for millions of people to watch my videos, become aware of my Unique Artistic Creations.
I like to use the terms Unique Artistic Creations (UAC), Unique Creative Expressions (UCE), or Unique Artistic Expressions (UAE) as this relates the idea that in my home grown Art I am making a unique offer to the consummer; hence, they cannot get what I am selling from anyone else. This in marketing this technique is called making a Unique Selling Proposition (USP). I've just given this term a new name to make it applicable to the marketing of unique designer gift and apparel which I create.
The "I Love Mint" design is one of many such Unique Artistic Creations I have produced based upon flora and fauna. A few more examples of such home grown Unique Artistic Creations are shown below:

What is most interesting about these Unique Artistic Creations is that each way grown in my garden or found around my home. I made a high resolution digital photograph, then imported it into a photo editing/graphic arts program, and once the design was in the computer, then added text or a slogan. Once upon a time, before personal computers, digital camera and image editing cameras came along, it would take days or hours to go from taking a photograph, getting the film processed, making prints and adding text using paste up type fonts. But now the whole process can be done very rapidly. You can snap a picture with a digital camera, upload it to your computer immediately, then add text in only minutes. Presto! It is possible to grow your own Art within minutes. Plus you can upload the finished home grown art to a service like CafePress and have your Unique Artistic Creations available for the entire world to buy within the hour! Hence the process really is like being able to grow money on a tree!
What is so remarkable about such home grown Art is that there really in no limit to the Unique Artistic Creations you can produce. Below is shown an "I Love You" design which I produced in the course of an afternoon. I went for a walk and along the way took digital photographs of trees, flowers, fungi and other found objects which resembled letters. Then I used the photographs to compose a design which said "I (Heart) You!" Now you can do the same thing. Just go for a walk around your neighborhood, explore the fields and forest for flora, fauna and other objects which resemble letters, take digital photographs, and then make designs which say whatever you want to say. If you collect a whole alphabet of images you can literally compose designs which say anything you want to say. This is anologous to heiroglyphics or picture writing taken to the highest level using digital images as fonts.

There is nothing you cannot say with a picture. Indeed, a picture is worth a thousand words, and if you take enough pictures of enough objects you will soon have an entire alphebet soup of photographs. You will then be able to open your own on-line gallery and market gifts and apparel, your own Unique Artistic Creations; indeed, your very own money tree! It's not only fun, but profitable!
