Good Shepherd Dog Animal Rescue (GSD Animal Rescue), Inc.

A Nonprofit Corporation, Established 2009
For the benefit and rescue of homeless animals.

Goals and Projects

Initial Goals

The following initial goals are set in order to establish a viable nonprofit organization.

  1. Draft Articles of Incorporation for GSDAR, Inc.;
  2. To establish and register as a nonprofit corporation;
  3. To register with IRS and get a unique EIN for tax purposes;
  4. To do all those other tasks required for the establishment of a nonprofit animal resuce and adoption organization.

    All the initial goals related to establishing GSDAR as a nonprofit corporation have been achieved. GSDAR is now established as a nonprofit corporation. However, the hard work now begins to do all those tasks necessary to solve the many problems associated with homeless animals.

    This is not an easy task; it is, in fact, an enormous task, one that will require the help of many people. Up to this point everything has been paid for and provided by the generous contributions and efforts of Terry Lynch, the founder and president of GSDAR. This includes paying all fees for the establishment of GSDAR, producing and hosting this website and making all the promotional and fund raising designs that are to be used to help raise awareness and stimulate people to get involved and help homeless animals.

    But the task at hand is too big for one person alone to do more than make a dent in the wall. Many obsticals are faced. Much needs to be done to educate the public about the homeless animal problem. The hard work now begins and everyone who wants to help is invited to join the effort. Please contact Terry if you would like to help.

The following nation-wide projects are planned, proposed or being conducted and need the support of all canine fanciers and animal lovers everywhere:

  1. State-of-the-Art Animal Shelter & Sanctuary -- Our goal is to build a state-of-the-art private Animal Shelter & Sanctuary capable of providing for animal rescue, adoption and related services for the qulality care of animals any where in the world where we may establish the means to operate and/or conduct animal rescue operations. In this regard we realize that poverty is a primary contributer to the problem of homeless, neglected and/or abused animals and their burden. Hence we also seek to help raise people and their pets up out of poverty as through programs of education, assistance or whatever other means possible. Also we seek to help preserve and protect all threatened and endangered species and their natural environment which is constantly being encroached upon by man, driving many species to extinction, causing others to become urbanized, and bringing humans in contact with vectors of disease and other pathogens, resulting in conflicts between animal and man, that God's once Eden is now in many land but ruin.

    If five-thousands years ago man out of stone and sand might build the great Sphinx and Pyralids, might we in the 21st Century be able to build a great animal shelter and sanctuary, perhaps one in every state and nation where needed? Surely if our ancestors with but the labor of their own backs might build the great Sphinx and Pyramids we might be able to build shelters and sanctuaries for homeless animals, perhaps in the process raising ourselves out of poverty and bringing our pets with us.

    Is this too high a goal to set? I think not. If each person who reads this would buy one "Canine Sphinx" T-shirt or other gift/apparel item, and ask three other people to do the same, we would be well on the way to building the first Great Canine Sphnix Animals Shelter and Sanctuary. If you would like to donate a greater some to this good work and cause just click on the GSDAR PAW you see on this page. Thank you for your patronage.

  2. Petitions -- As may be deemed appropriate we may petition for the establishment of animal shelters, new animal control ordinances, or other worthwild purposes, as to gain support, raise awareness, draw attention, effect change, and/or inform the general public with respect to critical issues or pressing concerns; this may include on-line petitions related to local, state, national or international issues. For example:
    A petition was circulated to support the establishment of an animal shelter; i.e., Clarke County Animal Shelter. Initial indications were that this was a project that the majority of citizens of Clarke County, Mississippi, would support. This petition is being presented on-line so that all municipalities and citizens throughout Clarke County may easily access and sign the petion. Said petition remains posted to encourage citizen action to urge that an animal shelter be established in Clarke County, MS.

    As of Feb. 2012, no significant funds have been alotted by Clarke County to establish an animal shelter or animal control officer. Hence, Clarke County may be regarded to be indirectly responsible for the neglect and suffering of all homeless animals in the county that are running at large. As of Feb. 2012 Clarke County MS still does not have an animal shelter or an animal control officer, yet it waists large sums of money to employ lawyers to bring claims against mentally and/or physically challenged childern in the public school systems and pays huge sums of money to private lawyers and other contractors to establish a railroad authority -- basically splurging taxpayer money for purposes that the tax payers never approved by any kind of direct vote. Such idiocy is why there are homeless animals in Clarke Co. MS in 2012. It is a form of animal cruelty because the powers that be are too greedy, corrupt, uncaring, or heartless to help save the lives of homeless animals.

  3. Project K-9 -- Project K-9 is an on-line educational and information resource for all breed of dog lovers. A treasure chest of information is provided to help educate canine fanciers with regard to such issues as the care, training and rescue of dogs as well as other health issues.

  4. Angel The God Sent Dog -- This is Angel's Diary and tells the tale of Angel, who was a homeless animal, abandoned and rescued. Angel in now serving as the mascot for GSDAR and working to help raise funds to support GSDAR. Angel is the poster puppy for Adopt A Dog, which encourages responsible adults to adopt a dog and help save a life.

  5. Boycott China Canine Killers -- Animal lovers everywhere are encouraged to boycott Red China which is responsible for the cruel and inhumane treatment of many dogs which have been mass murdered and exterminated. Red China is also responsible for putting toxic substance into pet foods which have hurt and harmed many dogs in America. Also in Red China dogs are skilled alive or beaten to death with clubs for their furs and meat, an extremely hideous practice. People everywhere are urged to stop buying products manufactured in Red China and to help stimulate the economy of the United States of America by purchasing only products made in America.

  6. GSD Rescue Center -- The German Shepherd Dog Rescue Center is working to help promote the adoption and rescue of German Shepherd Dogs and other homeless dogs. There is a lot of misunderstanding and prejudice toward large breed dogs like German Shepherds which makes it especially necessary to help find responsible forever homes for these dogs when they are abandoned or given for adoption.

  7. PAWS 911 Emergency Medical Fund -- The PAWS 911 Emergency Medical Fund is a special fund reserved for use in providing veterinarian medicine and care to sick, injured, hurt or harmed animals or other medical expenses for dogs, cats or other animals under the care of GSDAR. Donations to the PAWS 911 Emergency Medical Fund can be made securely thorugh PayPal simply by clicking on the link below:
