Goals and Projects
Initial Goals
The following initial goals are set in order to establish a viable nonprofit organization.
- Draft Articles of Incorporation for GSDAR, Inc.;
- To establish and register as a nonprofit corporation;
- To register with IRS and get a unique EIN for tax purposes;
- To do all those other tasks required for the establishment of a nonprofit animal resuce and adoption organization.
All the initial goals related to establishing GSDAR as a nonprofit corporation have been achieved. GSDAR is now established as a nonprofit corporation. However, the hard work now begins to do all those tasks necessary to solve the many problems associated with homeless animals.
This is not an easy task; it is, in fact, an enormous task, one that will require the help of many people. Up to this point everything has been paid for and provided by the generous contributions and efforts of Terry Lynch, the founder and president of GSDAR. This includes paying all fees for the establishment of GSDAR, producing and hosting this website and making all the promotional and fund raising designs that are to be used to help raise awareness and stimulate people to get involved and help homeless animals.
But the task at hand is too big for one person alone to do more than make a dent in the wall. Many obsticals are faced. Much needs to be done to educate the public about the homeless animal problem. The hard work now begins and everyone who wants to help is invited to join the effort. Please contact Terry if you would like to help.
Projects
The following nation-wide projects are planned, proposed or being conducted and need the support of all canine fanciers and animal lovers everywhere:
- Clarke County Animal Shelter -- A proposal is being made for the establishment and construction of Clarke County Animal Shelter. This will be a state-of-the-art facility capable of providing for animal rescue, adoption and related services to all municipalities within Clarke County, Mississippi, which support this project. Through the collective support many citizens and municipalities this will provide an affordable solution to the animal control and homeless animal problem in Clarke County.
A petition is being circulated to support the establishment of an animal shelter; i.e., Clarke County Animal Shelter. Initial indications are that this is a project that the majority of citizens of Clarke County, Mississippi, would support. This petition will be presented on-line in the future so that all municipalities and citizens throughout Clarke County may easily access and sign the petion.
