Subject: How To Give The Gift Of Love

There is one gift we can all give this holiday season which costs nothing; it is the gift of love. How can you give this most precious gift?

First, be sure to tell your brothers, sisters, parents, relatives and friends that you love them. Let those closest to you know that you care about them, that you forgive them for past transgressions, and that you still love them. A card, letter or phone call can work wonders in this regard if you will just open up your heart and share your love.

Second, find a way to share your love with others during the Christmas season and Hanukkah. Participate in church or community activities, volunteer for a needy cause and lend a hand to help others in need. Help a neighbor or contribute food, clothing or money to a charity of your choice. Give and you will receive in return many times over.

Third, help a child. Many children do not have parents or a good role model. You may join an organization like Big Brothers to help mentor children and give children the benefit of your guidance. Or you may contribute to charitable organizations which help provide children around the world with food, shelter, clothing, medical needs or basic education. Helping to save the children around the world who are in a day to day struggle just to survive certainly is a gift of love that everyone should consider.

Fourth, help homeless animals. There are many animals in humane societies and shelters which will die if they are not adopted by a loving and caring family. If you have a home with a fenced back yard and the means to care for a dog or cat, please consider adopting a homeless animal. Should you adopt a dog and need additional information on how to care for or train your canine companion, visit Project K9 on the Internet at www.byteland.org/projectk9. Adopting a homeless animal is one gift which you can give which will turn right back around and fill your life with undivided love and affection.

Fifth, if you are a creative person consider making your own cards, letters or other greetings or gifts of love. By making gifts of love and sharing them with family, friends, relatives and those people who mean much to you, not only do you involve yourself in activity which will bring a feeling of achievement and self confidence, you share the products of your creative expression with others to enrich their lives. If you do not have time to make your own special gifts of love, please visit the Byteland Art Gallery at www.cafepress.com/bytelandart where you will find thousands of original design unique gift items for all occassion reproduced upon hundreds of thousands of high quality products.

Sixth, I'd like to urge everyone to consider how you may help the elderly. Our elderly are being neglected, exploited and ignored. Often the elderly are separated from society, locked away in nursing homes, made wards of the state which takes power and control of their income and assets, even when their are loving and caring family members. This happened to my own dear motherLa Faye S. Lynch, who has been made a virtual slave and confined to a nursing home in Alabama through the process of a corrupt elderly care system. Please help the elderly by visiting them in nursing homes, working to change the laws so that all people may have a legal right to designate and appoint their own guardian/conservator, and working to prevent the exploitation of our elderly and their being enslaved in nursing homes by corrupt, greedy lawyers, health care administrators and unjust legal systems which are designed to warehouse the elderly. For more information on how you can help the elderly visit the Elderly Rights Association, an on-line resource and grass roots effort advocating rights for elderly Americans at www.byteland.org/era.

Seventh, I'd like to urge everyone to pray for peace on Earth. When people are at war and conflict this disrupts everyone's life, destroys families and results in an endless cycle of killing. Certainly we all may pray for our soldiers who are far from home in foreign lands, risking their lives, many making that ultimate sacrifice for God and country. By praying for peace we will all contribute to ending war and bringing our soldiers home. Praying for peace is perhaps one of the best gifts we can give at Christmas time and throughout the year. So I urge everyone to go to their church, synagog or house of worship an join with others in praying for peace. Make a prayer for peace the last voice you speak each night to God before you sleep. If we all pray for peace and work in our daily lives to promote peace it will bring peace to us and to those who are now our enemies, making them to one day be our friends, neighbors and allies.

As a strong advocate for peace I have made many designs which encourage the support of our troops, support of America, and that patriotic spirit which comes through the display of the American flag. I urge everyone who loves our country and supports our troops to display items which express that patriotic spirit.

Certainly every present wrapped with a warm heart and tied with affection, graces a gift of love. But a kiss and a hug and telling someone that you love them cost nothing to give.

It is in this spirit that I have made a special gift of love and posted it upon the Internet at www.byteland.org/giftoflove to share with others around the world. This Gift of Love include music and speical holiday creations which you may freely share with friends and family. This is just my way of saying, "I love you," to everybody and hoping somehow it will make the world a better place!

Sincerely,
Terry Lynch
