New York City Rats There are over 70-million rats in NYC! This is the first in a series of New York City rat designs. In the event you do not understand the purpose of this design, it is to encourage New York and other metropolitan areas to clean up their cities and make them safer places to live for men, women and children. By making a parody out of the serious issue of garbage, filth and pest of big cities, perhaps they will take notice and clean up their cities. The Discovery Channel aired a feature about the rat problem in New York City during the winter of 2003. In this program it was stated that, "By some estimates there are as many as 70-million rats in New York City." With a human population of almost 8-million people, that is 8.75 rats for every human being! So anyone who wants to help motivate the city of New York to clean up its act, is encouraged to buy products featuring this New York City Rat design.
