Adopt A Dog!

Hi! My name is Angel. I was once a homeless animal. Someone dumped me on the side of the road and abandoned me as a puppy. Were it not for the kind heart of a responsible person, I might have been hit by a car, injured, killed or ended up in a shelter where I would probably have been destroyed.

There are millions of homeless dogs in America just like me. The vast majority of these homeless dogs end up being destroyed. They are given an injection which puts them to sleep and stops their hearts from beating. Then most of these destroyed dogs are put in plastic garbage bags, place in a dumpster and carted off to a landfill. The bodies of millions of destroyed dogs and cats end up being crushed and bulled dozed over, buried unceremoniously like so much garbage! Why is this happening in the riches country in the world?

I am just one dog that was saved from this terrible fate. Millions of other homeless dogs and cats will be destroyed this year. The problem is astronomical in scope. But you can make a difference. You can help to begin making a change.

Please help stop the destruction of homeless animals in America. Please make a donation today. Go to my website, learn about me and how I am trying to save the lives of homeless animals. Adopt A Dog!

I am working to promote the adoption of dogs in America. If you really want to help please become a contributing member of the Good Shepherd Dog Animal Rescue. The GSDAR is a not-for-profit organization, a grassroots effort, that is working to educate and inform everyone about the need to adopt dogs, cats and other homeless animals.

I am just one dog. My owner and guardian named me Angel as I am a God Sent dog. My goal is to inspire responsible adults who have the means and nice homes to adopt a dog, spay and neuter their dogs and cats and take positive action to end the senseless destruction of millions of homeless animals in America.

This is an enormous task. But with your help and support we can begin to save the lives of homeless animals. In the little town on Quitman, Mississippi, where I live there is not even an animal control officer. When people do not want a dog or cat they just drive off with it and dump it in a neighborhood or out upon a deserted country road. As a result there are many stray dogs and cats roaming at large in Clarke County. These stray dogs and cats breed and increase the numbers of homeless animals. These thousands of stray animals cause problems for responsible pet owners and can contribute to the spread of diseases. This includes rabies, given homeless animals are not inoculated.

Please help by clicking on my photograph and buying Adopt a Dog gifts and apparel. Every purchase will result in a small commission and be used to promote the adoption of dogs and cats and to stop the senseless destruction of millions of homeless animals in America.

One of my primary goals is to raise enough money to establish GSDAR, to be based in Quitman, Mississippi. Over time this will do much to solve the homeless animal problem in my hometown. The goal is to raise enough money not only to provide a foster care family network, but to build, operate and maintain an adoption agency, kennel and medical facility for homeless animals.

Building an adoption agency, kennel and medical facility homeless animals will cost a ton of money. Unfortunately I live in one of the most economically depressed areas and states in America. Unemployment is approaching 10% of the population. Many people in this area just do not have the means, economically, to provide for dogs, cats and other animals. They do not have the money even to spay and neuter their pets. Hence the problem of stray dogs and cats continues from one generation to the next. But you can help solve this problem. You can help turn things around and end the senseless suffering of homeless, starving animals in my hometown.

Please, have a heart and help. Become a contributing member of Good Shepherd Dog Animal Rescue. Or just click on the link below and buy Adopt A Dog gifts and apparel. I am a lucky dog because someone had a heart, took me in and gave me a good home. Because of this good person I now have received quality veterinarian services. I have received my rabies shots and other inoculations. I am on preventive medications for heartworm and fleas. I am a VERY LUCKY DOG! But there are thousands of dogs and cats in the town and county were I live who are not so lucky. They are homeless. Many will get heartworm disease and suffer from malnutrition and starvation. Others will get mange, loose their fur and agonize in distress from mites, fleas and mosquito bites. Why are we letting this happen to so many homeless animals?

Please have a heart and help these homeless animals. I know, I am just a dog, one small dog who was lucky and blessed to find someone who cares and who took me in. But by the grace of God there go I, another homeless animal. Yet, you have the power to help change the world. Every dollar you give can help solve the problem of homeless animals. There is hope and YOU are that hope. Please become a contributing member of the Good Shepherd Dog Animal Rescue today! Go to the GSDAR site and join by making a donation to help save the lives of homeless animals!

Most of the people who read this appeal for help and support probably live far away. You may live in New York or Chicago; perhaps you live in Los Angeles or maybe even Miami. No doubt your community also has many homeless animals. Therefore wearing a T-shirt which says "Adopt A Dog," is also a way you can help promote adoption in your area. But also you will be helping the dogs, cats and homeless animals in the little town of Quitman, Mississippi, which simply does not have the economic resources to deal with the homeless animal problem. Hence everyone, everywhere is being asked to please help. Click on Angel's Adopt A Dog photograph and buy gifts and apparel to promote the adoption of homeless dogs and other animals today!

Yes, I am a lucky dog. Someone had a heart and took me in. But each day that I walk with my new guardian around the blocks of the neighborhood where I now live, I see stray dogs and cats. Some people in my neighborhood do not even spay or neuter their pets. Just the other day a neighbors dog came into heat. I barked when I saw half a dozen male dogs sniffing around this female dog. A big black Labrador Retriever jumped the fence and hooked up with this smaller female that was in heat. Later there were at least three other smaller dogs that got into the yard, attracted to the smell of a dog in heat. It was a canine orgies! Now if nothing is done there will be more puppies and more homeless animals down the road.

This type of irresponsible treatment of animals happens all around me. Many people in the town were I live simply do not take proper care of their pets. There are many stray cats wondering the neighborhood. Some people feed the strays because they have a heart and can not stand to see dogs and cats starving. But feeding strays without spaying or neutering them just contributes to the problem of more homeless animals in the future. There is a great need to educate and inform people in my community with respect to responsible pet ownership, spaying and neutering their animals, inoculating all dogs and cats for rabies, heartworms and other contagious diseases and generally working to reduce the number of homeless animals and provide forever homes for adoptable dogs and cats.

I know I am just one small dog. But if I can see that this is a problem, then perhaps others can see it too. Then maybe together we can act to solve the problem. That's all I am asking. I am just asking that you have a heart and help to solve the homeless animal problem in the small, rural town where I live. Become a contributing member of Good Shepherd Dog Animal Rescue today! Also please buy Adopt A Dog gifts and apparel. Every cent raised through this effort will be used to save the life of a homeless animal.
